Agenda for Seminar Two: How do individuals use technology across the life span?

This seminar will address how individuals currently use ICT for work and leisure activities and the positive and negative implications for well-being in each life domain. Focus will be placed on boundary management theory, exploring how preferences for separation and integration can impact on key outcomes at various life stages together with steps that individuals and organisations can take to engage in positive behaviours and ameliorate the impact of technology. The seminar will also comprise a thorough overview of data on actual technology use, as well as qualitative data which illustrates how workers use and engage with technological devices and the impact on work-life balance.
